25th Season Stories – Brian

Meet Brian Hutt, Gold Crown Class of 1998. Not only is Brian one of our 25 Alumni Stories, but he also continues to stay involved with Gold Crown Basketball by coaching in our Hanzlik Camps and Prep Development League. Read more about Brian.

GC: What is your favorite Gold Crown memory/moment?
BH: What I value the most is the relationships I made through playing Gold Crown Basketball.  At my wedding, four of my groomsmen were on my 8th grade Gold Crown team (pics attached for proof!)  We often laugh about all sprints and bleachers we would have to run in practice for goofing off or missing a free throw.  We thoroughly enjoyed having fun and giving our coaches a hard time.

GC: What was your path after high school?
BH: After attending Wheat Ridge High School, I attended William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia where I majored in Finance and played varsity basketball for four years.

GC: What are you doing now?
BH: After college, I came home to Denver and have been a commercial real estate broker specializing in office leasing at Cushman and Wakefield.  I continue to volunteer with Gold Crown and coach in the PDL League and Bill Hanzlik Basketball Camps. I love giving back to these programs.

GC: How did playing youth sports prepare you for where you are at today?
BH: Playing youth sports was vital in my development and responsible for numerous life lessons that have helped me along the way.  It helped me understand the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle.  Off the court, I learned time management skills and the ability to relate to people from different backgrounds.  I am very grateful for the opportunity to play Gold Crown Basketball as a kid.

Come meet Brian yourself during our upcoming Holiday Hanzlik Hoops Camp or our Prep Development Basketball League!
